Serving North Africa

There are 193 countries in the world. 7 billion people. Over 6,000 unreached people groups. Over 150,000 people dying a day. Poverty, lostness, suffering, child slavery, AIDS, war, famine. Sometimes the problems and the size of the world seem so overwhelming.

Not only is it overwhelming, it is vastly ineffective and unfruitful to try to tackle them all. With no synergy, no focus, no teamwork, we see little fruit. But by uniting together and working in partnership, great things can happen.

But we didn’t used to think this way at Central. We had to stop and ask God questions like, “God, if you had your way, what would you do with us globally?” or “How can we make a difference in the world for you?”

The answer surprised us all. God has led Central away from the go anywhere, do anything approach, and has instead led us to focus on North Africa—one of the neediest places on earth. It is a region with tremendous spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.

So if you want to know what Central is doing globally, we are trying to effect holistic and transformational change in North Africa. That is the vision. That is the goal. That is what we are focused on as a church. Through the sending of long-term teams, short-term teams, prayer efforts, and field partnerships we are focusing our efforts to make a real impact in this world. We might not be able to change everywhere in the world, but working together we can make a difference in North Africa.

We invite you to join these efforts.
